A year long class meeting once per month, each class will discuss, color, design, inspiration,
how you use and think about color and how to put concepts together to form your own pieces.
This class is a year long class meeting once per month, however it is not necessary to attend all 12 classes, nor to begin classes at the beginning of the session. Each class will discuss, color, design, inspiration, changing how you look for inspiration, how you use and think about color and how to put concepts together to form your own art pieces. The color wheel will be used in class.
Each class will be 2 hours in length and requires your participationby doing exercises in class, between classes making pieces of art of any size of the lessons of the previous month. This can be in any medium the student chooses. Many of the samples shown in class will be fiber art related. The theory crosses all mediums.
Kathy teaches from the perspective of there really are no rules. There is only 1 rule in the class and that is there can be no negative comments about any students’ pieces.
Students are encouraged to bring to class each month the piece(s) they have worked on pertaining to the previous class discussions and exercises. This should be fun and an opportunity to explore new techniques, use of things you may not have used before and opening your mind to the possibilities when using color and design.
All supplies to do in class projects are provided. Tickets $25.00 per class.
