Creative Storytime: Cherokee Language Zoo

Join Lisa LaRue Baker as she reads a traditional story about animals and teaches the kids the animals’ names in Cherokee. At the end of the story, the young artists will choose their favorite animal and create the animal using modeling clay and different creative materials.

Each child will also receive a coloring with the animal’s Cherokee name in both the Cherokee Syllabary and in English phonetics.

This event is recommended for ages 4-8.

To keep our students safe, we are limiting our classes to no more than six students. Kiddos will sit at least 6ft apart, and they will not share supplies.

Masks are highly encouraged for littles and required for anyone over the age of 10.
