Free Story Time with Climate+Energy Project

FREE Story Time
Join us for February Story time to learn more about our environment and how climate disruption impacts the lives, health and economic well-being of Kansans. Backed by research from the Kansas Health Institute, American Public Health Association, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Kansas Climate + Health Declaration highlights concerns in Kansas and the resulting health impacts. Focusing on Kansas-specific data, attendees will gain a broader understanding of the issues, while learning about solutions to build community resilience in Kansas.

At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to: – Understand how climate disruptions impact public health in Kansas – Identify resources to help local county health departments respond to climate impacts – Describe solutions at all levels to build resilience, economic opportunities and healthy communities.
