Painting Like a Pro

In this colorful class, novice painters gain control over the fun and vibrant medium by diving into hands-on, immersive painting action. Wherever artists’ style choices lead them — to realistic portraits, inspired landscapes, or emotional abstracts — they’ll learn skills like plotting composition, mixing hues, layering and creating texture, blending, and more. They’ll find their stride through experimentation, taking risks, and, of course, making a mess or two. We’ll also throw in some one-on-one instructor input and a limitless library of reference photos and art history examples for inspiration. Before you know it, these young painters, too, will take their place among celebrated NOTO artists up and down the avenue.
