The Art of Lola Williams
Lola Williams has a BFA from the University of Kansas and has been creating abstract paintings in her studio for the last 20 years. Primarily focusing on oils, watercolor and acrylic,her subjects often reflect natural elements such as woods, flowers, ponds and trees. The end result of her artistic interpretation usually lies somewhere between impressionism and abstract, with flecks of her subconscious peeking through. “ Some call it unconscious art but I really believe it is an interpretation of something you have or are experienceing. Lola has exhibited locally at 39 West Gallery, Frameworks Gallery, The Carriage House Gifts, The Artists’ Loft, and The Artists’ Studio-Gallery. She has also exhibited at Sioux Falls, S.D. and taught watercolor classes at the Ottawa Art Center in Ottawa, Ks. Lola’s work will be on exhibit through the month of November at the NOTO Art Center, Thur. & Fri. 11-5 & Sat 10-3. 1st & 3rd Friday till 7:00.
