Topeka Parks and Green Spaces Exhibit

Artists’ showing of Topeka Parks & Green Spaces posters with unveiling of new, NOTO-themed poster.
Exhibition remains on display through November 27
Topeka Magazine and Parks & Green Spaces have partnered to bring the “See Topeka Parks
& Green Spaces Art Project” to the Topeka community. Thirteen local artists have been
commissioned to create new and unique images of Topeka parks and green spaces in the majestic
visual style of the WPA National Parks posters. The “See Topeka” posters invite the community
to view their local parks and green spaces with new eyes and inspiration.
“See Topeka” Project Artists are: Barbara Waterman-Peters (lead artist), Cally Krallman, Pat
Abellon, Gwen McClain, Doug Frye, Mike Henry, Hi Stockwell, Jordan Brooks, Brad LeDuc, Ye
Wang, Becky Drager, Alex Olson and Mary Remboldt Gage (project director)
Topeka Parks & Green Spaces included in the Project are: Ted Ensley Gardens,
Illiff Commons, Shunga Trail, Kaw River State Park, Lake Shawnee, Ward-Meade, MacLennan,
Garfield Park, Animaland at Gage Park, Reinisch Rose Garden, Gage Park Train,
Dornwood Nature Park, Skyline Park
